Franklin County drops boys tennis tilt with unbeaten Rushville

Rushville was a 4-1 winner in boys tennis over Franklin County Tuesday.

“We had two matches go three sets with the Lions Marlin Hershberger losing at #1 singles 6-3, 3-6, 3-6 in his first meeting with Franklin County’s Jack Stirn,” Rushville coach Hollis Heuer highlighted.  “This was a highly anticipated match, and it’s likely they will meet again with more on the line at conference and sectional.”

The win improved Rushville to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the EIAC.  Match results follow:

  • JV- Elijah Dean (FC) def. Edger Fernandez (RU) 8-4
