Food Pantry Receives RCCF Grant

(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Food Pantry is the recipient of a $1,500 grant from the Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) that will be used to support ongoing operational expenses.

“We are deeply grateful to the RCCF for its continued support,” said pantry director Kendra Basler. “These funds help us purchase food and personal care items that clients can select for their households. This grant is especially meaningful as rising costs for groceries, transportation, and utilities continue to put pressure on household budgets.”

In 2026, the pantry served an average of 222 families each month, which represents about 797 individuals.

Nearly half of those served are children and adolescents under the age of 18.

The food pantry is open Wednesdays from Noon to 4 p.m. except during holiday or weather-related closings.

Evening hours are available from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
