NAPOLEON, IN — No one was injured when flames hit a log cabin-style home Friday night on County Road 750 West near Brownstown Road.

Napoleon Fire Chief Ron Reynolds says the flames were contained to the attic and an upstairs bedroom. The homeowner noticed smoke coming from the attic space and called firefighters, who quickly responded and were able to limit the damage.

Chief Reynolds says the cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. A damage estimate is not available at this time.

The Napoleon Fire Department was assisted at the scene by units from Osgood and Millhousen.

The Versailles Fire Department sent an engine crew to the Napoleon fire station to provide coverage in case there was another run in the area.
