Versailles, IN —The Versailles Fire Department held their annual Awards Banquet on Saturday evening at the fire station. The banquet and dinner was held in the truck bays to provide for adequate social distancing during the event.
During the awards presentation, 2020 Firefighter of the Year award went to Cassi Hornsby and the 2020 Chief’s Award recipient went to Rick Dillion.
The Versailles Firefighters reports it experienced a record-breaking year in 2020. Versailles Fire and Rescue responded to 613 incidents. This is the highest recorded responses for a year in department history.
