GREENSBURG, IN — Greensburg City Council this week gave final approval to water and sewer rate increases that will take effect next year.

There were no citizen comments made at this week’s public hearing.

“Those ordinances will take effect over the next three years as we look at our long-term capital improvement plan, infrastructure needs, etc.,” said Mayor Joshua Marsh.

The water rate increase is 12.44 percent while the sewer rate hike is 23.46 percent.

Both increases will be implemented in phases over the next three years.
