VERSAILLES, Ind. — A fiber-optic company hit a water main in Versailles earlier in the week.
According to the Versailles Republican, the water main was near Washington and Jimmy Lotshaw streets.
The road began to buckle from the water pressure.
Many businesses and homes near the site were without water while crews worked to repair the main.
It was discovered later in the day that the old fire station, which is currently used for town and police officers, was filled with water.
