Southeastern Indiana — The National Weather Service says heat indices, or “feels like” temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 90s this (Monday) afternoon.
Hot temperatures combined with high humidity will result in maximum feels-like temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees through 7 pm.
Forecasters say you should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
