FCSO, EMS, Stayin’ Alive teaming up for Rx drug take back event this Saturday

(Brookville, IN) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office will hold its first prescription medication take-back event of the year on Saturday, April 29.

The sheriff’s office is partnering with Franklin County EMS and Stayin’ Alive, LCC for the event.

Deputies will be at the Health Fair at the EMS Building at the intersection of 7th and Mill streets in Brookville from 10 am until 2 pm Saturday, collecting expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications for proper disposal.

The event is one of several take-back events that will be held in various parts of the county this year.

If you can’t make Saturday’s event, there is a permanent prescription collection box in the lobby of the Franklin County Security Center at 371 Main Street in Brookville.
