Family-Friendly Art Alley Ribbon Cutting Event Thursday, October 10th

Batesville, IN—Come and be a part of the excitement of Batesville Main Street’s first art alley activation as we celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 10th.  The alley, between Randy’s Roadhouse and S&B Driving School, is the result of a QuIP grant (through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs), Belterra Funds and the artistic talent of Batesville High School Art Teachers Kyle Hunteman, Andrea Grimsley, Mary K Cambron and BHS students, along with Metal Sculptor Chaz Kaiser.

Festivities begin at 5 pm, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating Batesville Chamber of Commerce’s new location in the Shopping Village and free refreshments and music in the alley by Bryce and Shannon Mullins; Mayor Mike Bettice will perform the ribbon cutting for the art alley at 6 pm. All the shops in the Batesville Shopping Village will be participating in the event with extended hours and specials, free kids’ crafts provided by Tri-State Artisans, Kids Halloween Goodie Bags from Aunt Bea’s Gifts and wine tastings at the liquor store from 5-7 for those in the over 21 crowd. The merriment continues after 6, with a meet and greet with Batesville Main Street and Chamber representatives inside Randy’s Roadhouse. The music of Michael Kelsey will be featured from 6:15 – 8:15. Randy’s will feature drink and wings specials to celebrate the event. Families are welcome! Please check the Batesville Main Street Facebook page for a detailed listing of events that evening or contact Batesville Main Street Executive Director Tina Longstreth at 812-363-5254 with further questions.
