(Brookville, IN) – A now-former Brookville police officer is scheduled to stand trial early next year on Domestic Battery and other charges.
Thirty-seven-year-old Brandon Neuenschwander was arrested on Sunday, August 16 at a home on Main Street in Brookville.
In addition to two counts of Domestic Battery, he is also charged with Criminal Confinement, Neglect of a Dependent, (both Level 6 felonies), and Intimidation (Class A misdemeanor).
A preliminary not guilty plea was entered at his initial hearing this week in Franklin Circuit Court.
Bond was set at $5,000 and Neuenschwander was ordered not to have contact with his alleged victims.
He was held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center but has since posted bail.
Neuenschwander had been with the Brookville Police Department since 2024 but resigned from the force following his arrest.
His jury trial is scheduled to start on January 19.
