Ethel Ann Precht, of Brookville, was born on June 27, 1930 in Metamora, Indiana, the daughter of George and Ethel Abrams Roberts.  She married James M. Precht on July 31, 1948 at the Brookville United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2011.  Ethel had been employed as a nurse’s aide at Elsie Dreyer Nursing Home and also worked at Jay Garment for 10 years.  She loved to mushroom hunt and hang out with her sister, Dixie. Ethel enjoyed flowers, eating breakfast with the gang at Fairbrook Manor, and singing at church on Sunday.  On Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the age of 86, she passed away at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville.

Those surviving who will honor Ethel’s memory include her children, Gerald “Bud” Precht of Brookville, Carol (Melvin) Westerman of Sunman, and Ron (Lee Anne) Precht of Laurel; grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, Kim Westerman, Chrystal Mattix and Aaron Precht; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.  Also surviving are sisters, Betty Wilson and Dixie Miller, and one brother, Paul Roberts, all of Brookville.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mildred, Alvin, Donald, Dave, Ollie Mae, Dorothy and Fletcher.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 from 12 noon till time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
