Emily H. Givan, 85, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, in Aurora, Indiana.
She was born June 6, 1936, in Florence, Indiana, daughter of the late Holman Land and Nellie (Rider) Land.
Emily worked as a guager for Anchor Glass, retiring after over 53 years of service.
When her children were small she served as a Den Mother. She enjoyed bowling, loved to sew, quilt, and she was an avid reader. Emily loved to sit and watch the hummingbirds and other animals out in her front yard. She was a sports fan, who enjoyed football and baseball, and she really loved going to the Reds games with her grandson.
Emily is survived by her sons, Terry (Judy) Givan of Rising Sun, IN, Jamie Givan of Lawrenceburg, IN and son in law, Ed Dean; grandchildren, Michael (Missy) Givan, Cathy (Richard) Eads, Brandon Givan, Bridget Givan; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, James H. Givan; and daughter, Peggy Dean.
Friends will be received Monday, November 15, 2021, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at 6:00 pm.
