Elvin Frazee, born July 9th, 1929 in Losantville, Indiana to Fred and Malvia May Frazee. Elvin attended Union School in College Corner, Ohio/Indiana, graduating in the class of 1948. Elvin often told stories of growing up in a small town, finding things to do, some of which they were told not to do, like heading down to the creek to swim and fish. He met a young lady in College Corner, Flora Pace and they married March 11, 1950. Elvin and Flora had 4 boys, Jerry (Pam) Frazee, from Liberty, Indiana, James (Tammy) from West Harrison, Indiana, Joseph (stillborn) and Larry (Kathie) Frazee from Woodburn, Indiana. Elvin has 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one older sister, Nellie Copes from Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
At the age of 89, he passed away on Friday, December, 2018. Elvin was proceeded in death by Flora-Wife, Joseph-Son, Frederick and Malvia May Frazee-Parents, Kenneth Frazee-Brother, Kathryn Robinette-Sister, and Loretta Yates-Sister.
Elvin has held many titles in his life, (Coach, Sunday school teacher, Father, Husband and Friend). At age 36, he asked Jesus Christ to come into his heart to help guide him and help him with his responsibilities of life. At age 8, Elvin became a faithful Cincinnati Reds fan, following them for 80 years. He was passionate about attending all his boys sporting events and was their #1 fan. He himself played basketball and softball throughout the years. He was an avid gardener and loved to fish whenever he could. Those who had the opportunity to know Elvin experienced a kind, generous man who truly cared about others!!
Elvin’s memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. this coming Saturday (January 5th) at the Trinity Holiness church which is located on the north side of Union School in West College Corner.
