Edinburgh man arrested for theft in Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Ind. — An Edinburgh man was arrested after police say he stole a case of beer from a gas station in Greensburg.

According to police, Matthew Sneed, 34, was arrested on the charge of theft.

Police were called to the Speedway on Main Street regarding a hold-up alarm.

Witnesses told police, a male entered the store and attempted to purchase a case of beer, but the employee told him that he could not purchase it on Sunday.

He then told her that he was going to take it anyways and left the store without paying for it.

Officers later showed the employee a line-up of six people, and the employee identified Sneed to police.
