Edward Charles Windholtz, age 83 of Sunman, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. The son of Edward and Martha (Martini) Windholtz was born on September 11, 1937 in North Bend, Ohio.
The 1955 Elder High School graduate was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Peters, Indiana. for over 50 years.
Ed was a proud farmer and made his living doing what he loved. He enjoyed farming and all the many things involved in daily farm life. Watching sports was favorite past-time of his, especially football, baseball and basketball.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Bucher, Audrey Windholtz and Barbara Windholtz plus numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Groeschen, Viola Windholtz, Joan Schmidt, Sister Edward Anita SC, and Patricia Windholtz.
Visitation will be Monday, December 28 from 4-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Peters Church or Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg.
In accordance with the Indiana COVID-19 precautions, all attending are required to wear a mask and follow proper social distancing protocol, capacity is limited to 25 at a time for visitation. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
