(Indianapolis, IN) – The East Central High School football team was not only a winner on the field Saturday.
The IHSAA says the school also has a top-notch faculty member.
Teacher and football assistant coach Steven Medlock received the IHSAA Champion Educator award at the state football championship at Lucas Oil Stadium (pictured).
East Central Athletics wrote on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter) that Medlock devotes a lot of time and energy to the school’s student-athletes throughout the year.
They also wrote, “We are incredibly thankful for him and his servant heart.”
The Trojans repeated as Class 4A football state champions Saturday when they dominated NorthWood 42-14.
