
East Central swept both ends of its track and field invitational on Friday evening in St. Leon.
In the girls meet, it was the Trojans 175; Batesville 138; Columbus East 84; Oldenburg Academy 70; Lawrenceburg 57; Greensburg 45, and Franklin County 40.
Batesville’s 4 x 400m relay team finished second but set a new school record of 4:05.17, breaking the mark set in 2023 by over .2 seconds.

EC won the boys meet with 164 points, followed by Columbus East with 97; Batesville 95.5; Cincinnati Elder 89.5; Greensburg 50; Franklin County and Oldenburg tied at 42, and Lawrenceburg 39.
The Bulldogs’ 4 x 800m relay came in first and posted a new meet record time of 8:21.42, breaking the old record by .2 second set by Batesville in 2004.
It was also a personal best for the team consisting of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, James Rowland and Griffin Koester (pictured).
