Congratulations to East Central Lady Trojan Track standout Ellie on capturing The Girls Track Regional Crowns in the 800 Run and the Long Jump. Ellie will be advancing on to The State Finals.
Center Grove won the Girls Team Regional Championship. Locally, East Central was 5th, Greensburg 6th, Batesville 12th, Franklin County & Jac-Cen-Del 15th, South Ripley 19th, and South Dearborn 23rd.
2020-21 Franklin RegionalThe 2021 Batesville Girls Track team finished out a great season tonight at the Regional competition at Franklin Community High School.
Although there were several personal bests throughout the night, the competition was tough. The running events opened up with the 4 x 800 relay and the Bulldogs just missed advancing to the state meet by a little over a second as they placed 4th, running a 10 second PR and setting a new school record at 9:45.68. Members were: Kaylie Raver, Ava Hanson, Katie Olsen and Megan Allgeier. Madelyn Pohlman placed an impressive 6th place in the 200m dash with a PR run of 27.64. And our other scorer and ribbon winner for the night was Katie Olsen, as she won her heat in the 400m dash, ran a personal best and placed 8th overall.
Other personal bests were: Kaylie Raver, Ava Hanson and Megan Allgeier-4 x 800m splits; Kaylie Raver and Ava Hanson-4 x 400m splits; Ella Moster-300m hurdles; Carley Pride-400m dash season personal best.
Many were very close to their PR’s…and congratulations again to all that competed tonight including Katie Bedel, Kaylie Raver, Ava Hanson, Katie Olsen, Megan Allgeier, Lily Pinckley, Carley Pride, Elena Kuisel, Lizzy Nobbe, Lily Meyer, Madelyn Pohlman, Ella Moster and alternates; Maria Lopez, Trysta Vierling, and Cora Deputy.
Again, Congratulations on a great season! Boys compete at Regionals on Thursday at Warren Central beginning at 6 pm.
