(Cincinnati, OH) – An East Central High School graduate is the 2024 Anthony Munoz Foundation Straight A Scholarship Female Student of the Year.
Maleighna Mondal was honored at a recent ceremony for overcoming a family tragedy and adversity to excel in school.
She now attends UC Blue Ash where she is pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene.
Maleighna hopes to honor her late mother’s legacy, support her brothers, and create new memories that unite them into their own adulthood.
“I’ve learned to never take anything for granted and to cherish loved ones,” she said.
The scholarship was established by Munoz, the former Cincinnati Bengals left tackle and Pro Football Hall of Famer to honor resilient students.
