(Saint Leon, IN) – East Central boys basketball has a new head coach. The Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation announced Tyler Theising as East Central High School’s new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, replacing David Disbro, who left the program last month after 24 seasons.
Theising is an East Central Graduate who played on Disbro’s 2008 sectional championship team. He previously held the varsity head coaching position at South Ripley from 2019-2022, posting a 58-35 record. This past season, Theising served as an assistant coach for the Trojans.
Coach Theising was approved by the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools Board of Trustees at the Thursday, April 13, 2023, Board meeting.
