ST. LEON, Ind. — A local student has recently been published. East Central High School Senior Lauren Rabold wrote, Shout Aceborn and Bane of Good Will.
This is Rabold’s first book.
Lauren says this is a fantasy adventure for kids in grades 4-7.
The unassuming hero fights dragons, learns secrets from wizards, and begins a quest to defeat the villain.
The story is filled with exciting battles, riddles, and surprises.
In her younger years, Rabold spent many hours reading fantasy works by literature giants like J.R.R. Tolkien. “I was first introduced to J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit in fifth grade, and I have been a devout fan ever since,” she remembers. “ Is there anything that sounds even remotely as welcoming as a hobbit hole? I certainly can’t think of anything”.
Rabold intends to publish two additional books in the future to complete the trilogy.
