East Central JV baseball shuts out Batesville 5-0

Batesville junior varsity baseball out-hit East Central seven to five, but it was the Trojans who came out with the victory 5-0 on Thursday.

Cole Sebastian led things off on the hill for the Trojans, going five innings, allowing zero runs on five hits and striking out five.

Josh Borgman was on the pitcher’s mound for the Bulldogs. The righty allowed four hits and five runs over six and third innings, striking out seven. Schneider threw one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.

Batesville tallied seven hits. Schneider and Dane Dudley each had multiple hits for Batesville Junior Varsity Bulldogs. Schneider led the team with three hits in four at-bats.

Seth Strobl lead East Central in hits, going 2-for-3 at the plate.
