The East Central Lady Trojans welcomed the Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers for an EIAC match.
East Central struck in the 11th minute when midfielder Julia Tiemann (Jr.) connected with forward Ellie Hill (Fr.) who deposited the ball in the back of the net, giving the Trojans an early 1-0 lead over the Tigers.
The Trojans doubled their lead in the 25th minute when Hill dropped the ball to midfielder Caitlyn Dick (Jr.) who shot and scored from just outside the 18 mark.
The two first half goals proved to be enough, as the game concluded with a score of 2-0 in favor of the Lady Trojans who are 2-0 in the EIAC and overall.
The varsity match was preceded by a JV contest that was cut short when a small thunderstorm passed by just as the game was returning from halftime. Final score, 1-1.
