(Muncie, IN) – Sixty-three East Central High School students showed their talents at last weekend’s Indiana FCCLA 2024 State Leadership Conference in Muncie.
East Central FCCLA brought home 51 Gold Medals, 10 Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal in a wide range of Family and Consumer Science projects.
Forty-two of the EC students qualified for the National FCCLA Competition in Seattle, Washington, with six others chosen as alternates.
“These results are not easy to achieve. These students worked hard for the past few months on carrying out their projects by building boards, writing portfolios, preparing food, designing, sewing garments and writing speeches,” East Central FCCLA Adviser Brenda Osman wrote on social media. “We are blessed to have students that are willing to put the time and dedication into their projects. We are also very fortunate to have the support of their parents/guardians to allow them to spend time with us at school.”
