Early Voting in Decatur County Continues

(Decatur County, IN) – Decatur County voters who choose a Republican ballot in the May 7 primary election will have several choices among local contested races.

Three candidates are running for County Commissioner in District 1, while four others are vying for the nomination in District 3.

There are also six GOP county council at-large candidates hoping to land one of three spots on the November ballot.

Early voting continues weekdays from 8 to 4 in the back of the Annex, which is the former Washington School on South Ireland Street. You’re asked to use Door #18 to enter.

Saturday voting will be held from 8-3 at the Annex on this weekend (April 27) and next (May 4).

Also, this Saturday, ballots can be cast at the Westport Community Building from 8-3; next Saturday, voting will be held at the Bruner Event Center in St. Paul, also between 8 and 3.

The last day to vote in person absentee is Monday, May 6 between 8 am to Noon.

There are a pair of deadlines voters should be aware of: the deadline to receive an application for an absentee ballot is THU April 25, and May 6 at Noon is the deadline to turn in an application for absentee ballot by travel board.
