Brookville, IN — Shortly after noon on Saturday, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the report of a one-vehicle accident with injuries on St. Mary’s Road, east of East Alley Road.
Tracey L. Ratliff, 53, of Sunman, told Deputies that she was driving a 2007 Lincoln Navigator westbound on St. Mary’s Road. Ratliff reported that she met an oncoming eastbound large utility truck, when she veered to the right, causing her to strike a cement culvert. Ratliff lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off of the south side of the roadway, overturning, and coming to rest in a creek.
Ratliff was transported by Brookville E.M.S. #2, to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department, Brookville E.M.S. #2, and Responder 24.
