Downtown Batesville road work rolls on

Batesville, IN — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company plans to finish sod work and striping this week as part of the State Road 229 road construction project in downtown Batesville.

The work will take place from Walnut to Main between Boehringer and Central.

Motorists can expect daytime flagging.

There will also be a construction crew working this week at George and Smith streets on the hot mix asphalt overlay, ADA improvements, and concrete.

INDOT and the City of Batesville want to remind drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
