Dorothy M. York

Dorothy M. York, 94, of Delaware, OH, formerly of Aurora, Indiana passed away Friday June 5, 2020 in Delaware, Ohio.

She was born February 2, 1926 in Dearborn County, IN, daughter of the late Henry C. Busse and Edith (Nolke) Busse.

Dorothy worked as a Lab Technician for Proctor and Gamble, retiring after over 25 years of service.

She was a life member of St John Lutheran Church of Aurora.

Dorothy enjoyed playing “500” with the girls. She also liked to sew. She made 30 -50 quilt tops a year which were made into quilts and sent to Lutheran World Relief. Dorothy was an excellent baker, and cook. Her faith, and her family were very important to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Donna J. (William) Darlage of Powell, OH; son, Dennis R. (K. Lynn) York of Palm Desert, CA; grandchildren, Denise (Andy) Luksic of Columbus, OH, Eric (Amanda) Darlage of Lewis Center, OH, Jeremy (Stephanie) York of Noblesville, IN, Angela (Jason) Robey of Amelia, OH; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Amelia, Matthew, Ellen, Henry, Cora, Eli, Alaina, and Emma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald C. York, brothers, Dormand Lee Busse, and Glenn C. Busse.

Full service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church Aurora, 220 Mechanic St., Tuesday June 9, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Olson and Pastor Stephens officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
