Dorothy Lucille Cox, 85, of Aurora, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Guilford, Indiana.
She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1936 in Milan, Indiana, daughter of the late Willis Kennett and Lillian (Ashcraft) Fike.
Dottie liked to cook and bake, she was known for her delicious cornbread and pineapple cream pie. She was an “Old Country” Country music fan. Dottie enjoyed looking at pictures and reminiscing. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Doug (Judy) Cox of Aurora, IN, Brad (Jill) Cox of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Tammy (Tim) Kraus of Guilford, IN; two siblings, Ron (Joan) Kennett of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Mike (Christy) Kennett of Houston, TX; step sister, Patsy Wilson of Houston, TX; Seven grandchildren, Erin (Mike) Moreland, Emily (Steve) Rose, David (Miriam) Cox, Andrea (Alex) Ezra, Allie Kraus, Amber (Devon) Gump, Brittany (Terry) West; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Father, Willis Kennett; Mother, Lillian Fike; Husband, Clark Cox; six siblings, Willis Kennett, Jr., Wanda Evans, Yuelta Dodd, Robert Kennett, Donna Martini, Denver Kennett.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 5, 2022, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Road, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the church, Monday June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am with Jerry Brooks officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
