Donald “Duck” J Canada, age 75, formerly of Dabney passed away on Thursday January 9, 2020 surrounded by his family. Duck was born on June 7, 1944 the son of the late William and Ruth Canada in Batesville. He grew up along with his brother and sisters outside of Holton.
Duck enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He lived in Vevay for a while, and loved going and setting by the river, he could be found spending hours there. Duck liked to dance and listen to music. He had spent 40 plus years working for Romweber Furniture in Batesville.
He is survived by daughter Sammi Barnes, grandchildren Jacob, Destinee, and Alexis, great grandchildren Jace, Hayden, Wyatt, Oaklee, and Brantlee (due anytime), brothers Larry (Mary), David (Nancy), Floyd (Shirley), and Kenny, sisters Barbara Wood and Pauline Sanders, and sister in law Betty Canada. Duck was preceded in death brother Alfred Canada.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 13, 2020 from 10 am.-12 pm., followed with funeral services at 12 pm., all services at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Memorials may be given to the family in the care of the funeral home.
