(Dillsboro, IN) – The Dillsboro Police Department’s first K-9 officer has passed away.
Chevy worked as a road officer and assisted with school searches in Dearborn, Ripley, Decatur, and Ohio counties during his time on the force.
He served from November 12, 2012, until his retirement on January 1, 2020.
“Chevy was loved by the children at local schools and performed many demonstrations,” Dillsboro Police said.
