Diana J. Parks, 82, of Milan, IN, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023.
She was born December 4, 1940, in Vevay, IN, daughter of the late Laura Reed.
Diana attended Vevay schools, but she admittedly hated school. After quitting school, she did babysitting and errands for her landlord. She had a son, Gregory on May 25,1958, married Floyd L. Parks on October 18, 1958, and moved to Lawrenceburg for awhile. She later bought a home in Ohio and lived there for several years. Diana then had a daughter, Lisa, on Sept. 2, 1963 and then daughter Teresa on Dec. 17, 1964. She started working at Thatcher Glass where she worked off and on for 27 years. Diana lost her son Greg in May of 2016, daughter Lisa in August of 2016, then her daughter Teresa, on Jan. 15, 2022. She will be greatly missed by her husband, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her loving spouse Floyd Parks, grandchildren, Jessica Parks, Crystal Parks, Jason Parks, & Travis Needham; great-grandchildren, Cherith Parks and Jaelyn Parks; her best maid, Sheena.
She was preceded in death by her children and her mother.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Hope Baptist Church, 15593 US 50, Dillsboro, IN. 47018
Services will be held at the church at 11:00 am with Pastor Tom Holt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Patriot, IN.
