Columbus, IN — On Saturday evening, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched in reference to a five-year-old juvenile found unresponsive in a swimming pool.
Upon arrival at the scene, a deputy observed the juvenile’s father performing CPR and assisted with life-saving efforts until medics arrived. The juvenile was transported to Riley Children’s Hospital by Lifeline.
In the initial investigation, it appears that the juvenile exited the residence unnoticed and was believed to be in the pool for approximately five minutes.
The juvenile was in serious, but stable condition at the time of transport to Riley Children’s Hospital. Condition is unknown at the time.
