Dennis Lynn Uhlmansiek 68, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday September 30, 2018 in Cincinnati, OH.
He was born January 18, 1950 in Batesville, Indiana, son of the late Cletus Uhlmansiek and Irene (Bockhorst) Uhlmansiek
He served his country as a member of the United States Army, he was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.
Dennis worked as a Materials Handler for Wayne Water System, retiring after over 42 years of service.
He was a member of IAM Union. (International Association of Machinist & Aero Space Workers) Dennis enjoyed riding his trike, dressing up as Santa, playing golf and watching wrestling. He loved 60’s & 70’s Classic Rock Music. He was an Elvis fan. Dennis loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Dennis is survived by his life companion, Theresa Williams of Aurora, IN; daughters, Angie (John Hertel) Uhlmansiek of Greendale, IN, Jessica (Kevin ) Gerke of Aurora, IN; step-children, Tonya Watts of Vevay, IN, Stephanie Watts of North Bend, OH, Diana (Thomas) Watts-Nall of Marion, IO; grandchildren, Preston Sullivan, Audrey Gerke, and Chloe Hertel; step-grandchildren, Wesley Sledge, Courtney Sledge, Joshua Watts, Kylie Childress, J.T. Childress, Cecelia Nall, Connor Johnson and Collin Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cletus and Irene Uhlmansiek and an infant sister.
Friends will be received Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Road, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the church, Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
