Demonstrations for peace in the wake of the death of George Floyd continued across the world including in Batesville where residents held signs and expressed their feelings at both the Memorial Building and the Village Green gazebo on Thursday. More peace demonstrations are rumored to take place today.
The NAACP of Columbus and Bartholomew County held a solidarity rally on the steps of Columbus City Hall. The peaceful protest started at noon. Attendees laid on the ground in silence for 8 minutes.
