Aurora, IN—Contractors plan to begin work this coming Monday on U.S. 50 in Aurora. The project includes a deck overlay on the bridge over CSX Railroad, just over one mile west of S.R. 350/S.R. 56.
The bridge will be restricted to one 10-foot lane in each direction. Work will be completed in two phases, beginning in outside lanes, followed by inside lanes. The project is expected to be complete in approximately four weeks, weather permitting. Wide and oversize loads should use an alternate route.
The project is planned to reopen in early August. Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free through all work zones. All work is weather dependent.
