Greensburg, IN — Decatur County Commissioners voted this week to close Allen Memorial Pool for this summer to assess deteriorating conditions at the facility.
This comes after discussions began last year on what to do with the 60-plus-year-old pool, which has leaks and damaged concrete.
Commissioners decided to close the pool for this season so they can assess the situation and decide whether to renovate the existing facility or replace it by creating a new water recreation area.
