Decatur County, IN — Decatur County Commissioners voted this week to approve the annual springtime closure of County Road 250 West between Base and Vandalia roads.
250 West will be shut down from May 25 until June 5 so that first responders can use it for Emergency Vehicle Operation training, which they have done in late May and early June for a number of years.
The closure has led to complaints from residents and motorists in the past, who say they were not aware of the shutdown.
County leaders say they want to make sure everyone affected by the temporary closure is aware of it.
