(Decatur County, IN) – The National Weather Service says Decatur County will be included in a Flood Watch starting Wednesday evening and lasting through Sunday morning.
Forecasters say excessive runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are also possible.
The agency says very heavy rainfall is possible from late Wednesday through Saturday night due to multiple rounds of precipitation.
Flash flooding will be possible Wednesday night into Thursday with significant river flooding potentially developing late this week and going into the weekend.
Forecasters say you should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.
Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
