Debbie Leonetti, age 62, of Holton

Deborah (Debbie) Diane Leonetti, age 62, of Holton passed away on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville.  Debbie was born on September 8, 1955 the daughter of the late Robert and Ann (Keeton) Johnson.  She grew up in Osgood along with her brothers and sister.

Debbie was a lady that took great pride in herself and her family.  Family to her was the center of her being and she always wanted to be there for them.  The one thing you could always be certain of is where you stood with her as she would make it clear.  She was a talented cook and loved to decorate and was a meticulous housekeeper.  She had the charisma and charm to maintain familial authority and her family loved her for it. Her wit and laughter were adored by family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Lou. Debbie and Lou were married on August 11, 2011 and enjoyed their time together.  Other survivors include sons Steve (Priscilla) McGrew of North Vernon, Jonathon Hoeferkamp of Aurora, Aaron (Ashley) Hoeferkamp of Versailles, Ronnie Hoeferkamp of Madison, and daughter, Mindy Hoeferkamp of Holton; step children: Daniel (Abby) Leonetti of Osgood and Meredith Copeland of Greensburg; grandchildren: Steven, Isaiah, Charley, Joelie, Brittany, Julian, Sophia, and Cooper; brothers: Robert Terry of Corydon, Michael (Pam) of Osgood, Greg of North Vernon,  and Tim (Liz) of Osgood, and sister, Tammy (Mike) Rork of Osgood.  She was preceded in death by sister, Barb Mayo of Kentucky.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 11 am. – 2 p.m. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood, with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Madison.  Memorials can be given to the American Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home.
