David William Vastine

David William Vastine, 80, of Aurora, IN, went to heaven on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
He was born December 15, 1943, in Dearborn County Indiana, son of the late Blaine and Nellie (Williams) Vastine. David served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked for Thatcher Glass, Anchor Glass and Dearborn Country Club.
David was an avid golfer and loved his horses. He also enjoyed cutting grass, cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and watching his grandson Ryan bowl. David also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He was proceeded in death by wife of 43 years, Patsy. He is survived by two daughters Renee (Art) Losekamp, and Rhonda Vastine; grandchildren Ryan (Megan) Losekamp, Devon (Amanda) Powell, Danielle, Dylan, Dustin Shaw and Trey Hoffman; great-granddaughter Memphis and siblings Nancy Abdon and Judy Buffington. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Raymond and Gene Vastine and Bonnie Taylor.
Friends will be received Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Mike Abdon officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
