David L Werner, 65, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 in Rising Sun, Indiana.
He was born June 20, 1952 in Aurora, IN, son of the late Robert Werner and Mary (Johnson) Werner.
David worked as a Maintenance Tech. for George Walters Buick, for several years. He was a member of the Aurora American Legion Post #231, where he loved to play cards on Thursdays with his friends. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the vegetable garden. He collected stamps, coins, guns and was a big sports fan. He really enjoyed tinkering around on old John Deere tractors with his friends.
Surviving are sons, Matthew (Victoria) Werner of Rising Sun, IN, Keith (Doris) Raver of Dayton, OH; siblings, Robert (Sudie) Werner, Rick Werner and Kelly Werner, all of Aurora, IN; sister-in-laws Pam Werner and Laura Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mike Werner, Greg Werner and Tammy Werner.
Friends will be received Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm with Pastor Patrick Lanman officiating. Military services will be held at 7:30 pm by local veteran service organizations.
