David L. Chaddon, 68, of Brookville, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, June 14, 2019.
Dave was born in Oak Forest on May 24, 1951, to David M. and Anita Anderson Chaddon. He married Connie Ashley Lang on July 18, 2011, in Sevier County, Tennessee. Dave began his employment with Owens Corning at a young age, advancing over the years to retire as Manufacturing Manager after 50 years of service. Dave had two passions in life: golf and music. After spending many an evening and weekend on the links, he and a group of local residents recently joined forces to form the Brook Hill Golf Club Preservation LLC to save the local golf course. He was serving as general manager of Brook Hill Golf Club at the time of his death. Dave also loved playing music and performed in the Checkmates, Dante, Oak Forest Boys, and the Matrix bands over a period of more than 50 years, only hanging up his guitar this spring.
Dave is survived by his wife, Connie Lang of Brookville; a daughter, Cristy Novak (Amber Kessinger) of South Carolina; step-children, Denise (Brad) Stacy, Kim Lang, Tereasa Lang, and Rick (Melissa) Lang; a brother, Dan (Beth) Chaddon of Brookville; two sisters, Audry Pennington of Metamora, and Virginia Chaddon of Morristown; and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Johnson.
Per Dave’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Contributions in memory of Dave may be made to Brook Hill Golf Club Preservation LLC.
