David F. Hussung 76, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 8 , 2019 in Aurora, IN.

He was born February 25 , 1943 in Aurora, IN, son of the late Raymond E. Hussung and Anna (Heine) Hussung.

He worked as a sander for Aurora Casket Company, retiring after over 38 years of service. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #71, Aurora American Legion, and Aurora Moose Lodge. He was also a past member of the Color Guard. David was very patriotic and was proud of serving his country in the Air Force. He was a gun dealer and enjoyed re-loading. He was a “Fix It Man and liked to repair small engines. In his younger years, David enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an excellent photographer. He also loved his cats , Precious and Kitty III. David loved to be around people. He was a story teller and didn’t know a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and kept every one laughing. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Connie, as they went on many wonderful vacations together which included Hawaii and Las Vegas just to name a few. David was a family man and loved spending time with his family. He was a great husband, dad, and grandpa. David will be missed by his many friends and family.

David is survived by his loving spouse of 37 years Connie Hussung (Miller), Daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Rybolt of Greenwood, IN; Sister, Judy (Steve) March of Aurora, IN; Grandchildren, Libby Rybolt and Benjamin (Sydney) Rybolt; Great-granddaughter, Blaise Rybolt (on the way); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by Father, Raymond E. Hussung , Mother, Anna (Heine) Hussung; siblings, Marita Ann Henson, and Laurel “Larry” Hussung; and nephew David Wayne Hussung.

Friends will be received Tuesday, November 12 , 2019, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday at 7:00 pm, following visitation. Military services will be conducted at the funeral home by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
