David Daniel Butler, 83, of Versailles passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Waters of Dillsboro. David was born on Friday, November 24, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana; son of Otis and Estella (Hall) Butler. David married Lois June (Thompson) Butler and she precedes him. David proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. David loved his cats and raising flowers.
David will be missed by his daughter Michelle Butler of San Diego, California, and sisters Rose Hummel of Moores Hill, Rita Moeller of Lawrenceburg, Cathy Cornett of Moores Hill, Jayna Denny of Fairfield, Ohio, and Susan Baculik of Southern Shores, North Carolina.
David was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Estella Butler; wife Lois Butler; daughter Kelly Butler; sister Betty Shinkle; and brother Phillip Butler.
There are no services. Memorials may be given in honor of David to the Donor’s Choice.
