Daryl Emery Miller, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the age of 64. The son of Wallace and Peggy Miller was born on May 15, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky.
He leaves behind his loving wife, of twenty two years, Donna Miller. His children; 26 year old Matthew Miller (April Brandon), 30 year old Daniel Sherrell (Courtney Schmittauer), 20 year old Ben Miller (Mariam Karimi) and his youngest daughter, just 17 years old, Grace Miller (Vicente Camarena). His grandchildren; Peyton Sherrell (12), Conner Sherrell (10), Gabriel Kelley (9), Hunter Miller (8) and Kaylee Jo Miller (2). His siblings; Yvonne Miller-Hawkins (Steve), Mike Miller (Debbie), and Michele Miller (Ty) and his mother Peggy Miller. He also leaves a host of friends, nieces and nephews that he loved with all of his heart.
In addition to his father Wallace Miller, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Miller.
The Daviess County High School graduate was a musician that could play many instruments and was a good singer and songwriter. He enjoyed playing in two bands during the 80s and 90s. He also had a fascination with motor bikes. He worked at Horizon Auto Glass for over 40 years before retiring and then worked for a few more at Hill-Rom. Daryl was one of the hardest working men around.
Daryl was beyond kind. He was witty, incredibly loving, selfless, and brave. Anyone who knew Daryl knew he loved his family, his kid’s friends, his wife’s friends and in-laws too. He loved big and you knew it. He never met a stranger and most people he met quickly became good friends. He loved his kids’ friends like his own and was always there for all of them for whatever they needed; whether it be our home, a ride, dinner, a job, some advice or just to talk.
Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm with funeral for family and close friends immediately following, all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Pastor Steve Evans will be officiating.
Due to the COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol. Masks are encouraged. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, a fund will be established to help with his children and grandchildren.
