Daniel S. Hall, age 77, West Harrison

Daniel S. Hall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, in West Harrison, Indiana. Born on December 6, 1948, in Harrison, Ohio, to Stuart and Mildred (nee Waller) Hall, Daniel lived a life rooted deeply in love, family, and service.

Daniel dedicated many years of his life to the City of Harrison, working diligently for the Street Department. His commitment to his work and his community was steadfast, reflecting a character defined by dependability and care. Proudly holding a GED, he valued hard work and perseverance, qualities that shaped his life and inspired those around him.

His passions extended beyond his professional life. Daniel loved to paint, losing himself in colors and creativity. He found joy and peace in hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, reveling in nature’s simplicity and beauty. His spirit sang with karaoke tunes, bringing laughter and delight to family gatherings and community events alike. A devoted family man, he delighted in working in the yard and tending his garden, nurturing life with the same warmth he gave to his loved ones.

Daniel was proud to marry Barbara Grubbs on November 4, 1967, in New Trenton, Indiana. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and shared memories. Surviving him are his beloved wife, Barbara Hall (nee Grubbs); his cherished son, Andy Hall; and eight adoring grandchildren: Alex, Annie, Gunnar, Taylor, Brooke, Liliah, Lindsay, and Cody. His legacy further flourishes through twelve great-grandchildren: Emery, Evelynn, Kamden, Kaden, Piper, Mia, Rilynn, Renley, Callie, Aubrey, Ellie, and Lainey, whose lives he enriched with his gentle presence and unwavering love. Daniel is also survived by his brother Doug (Brenda) Hall and sister Della Pennington, who shared in his journey and memories.

Though his daughter, Abby Lynn Hall and son, Aaron D. Hall, as well as his parents Stuart and Mildred Hall, have preceded him in death, their memories remain forever engraved in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation to honor Daniel’s life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. all at the Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street in Harrison, Ohio 45030. Friends, family, and community members are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate a life beautifully lived.

Daniel’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and the simple joys that knit a family and community tightly together. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him, inspiring kindness, resilience, and the enduring power of love. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
