The Milan Fire Department issued a statement.
“Take a second today and think about this. 02:45 on a frosty October morning. 25 people get out of bed and rush to your emergency. They ask for nothing. They work tirelessly, cold, and hungry, doing what they can to help you. They pour their hearts and souls into every action they take. Volunteers make the difference, not just the ones in our town but also in the communities surrounding us. We thank each and every firefighter on scene today. You made the difference today, each and every one of you!”
The Milan Fire Department also thanked the Reservation Restaurant for providing food and hot coffee to the crews.
