Covid-testing site closed in Osgood due to unprofessional behavior

Osgood, IN — As of Thursday, the testing site located in Osgood will no longer be open. Ripley County officials were made aware of unprofessional, inappropriate behavior by the employees of the Indiana Department of Health’s contractor at the state-sponsored testing site in the county. The site has been closed in response to the county’s request.

Alternate testing is available in the county. Indiana Department of Health, Ripley County Health Department, and Ripley County EMS are partnering to hold free COVID-19 testing. This testing site has both rapid and PCR tests.

The site is held at the  Milan Volunteer Fire Department located at 201 E. Ripley Street, Milan, IN 47031. The site is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday’s from 9:00 am-5:00 pm and the second Saturday of the month from 8:00 am-12:00 pm.  Walk-ins are available.

Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent. To register, please click here.  Hoosiers will not be charged for testing and insurance is not required. If you have private health insurance, please bring that information with you.
