Lawrenceburg, IN — A Lawrenceburg man convicted of child molestation was sentenced in Dearborn Circuit Court to the maximum 45 years in prison.
40-year-old Ronald Bills received the sentence last month from Judge James Humphrey, who retired shortly afterward.
Bills pled guilty to five counts of child molesting, with several other counts dismissed in exchange for the plea agreement.
The charges were originally filed in November 2021.
Attorneys met with the victims, who requested a plea deal because they would be traumatized if they had to testify at trial.
The penalty was imposed following a lengthy sentencing hearing.
